The Gentle Winds Orchestra - "Swinging standards with a light jazz touch" 
Organized by Steve Veikley in West Caldwell, NJ in 1996, The Gentle Winds Orchestra had played nearly 200 engagements within the greater metropolitan area of New York city by 2003. Reorganized in 2010 with dedicated Minot musicians and featuring vocalist Terri Aldrich, they now entertain North Dakota audiences. If you have ever felt ignored and bypassed by today's "pop" music you'll probably find a home with The Gentle Winds Orchestra.

 Steve Veikley's devoted core of Minot musicians, "Java Jive Jazz" has been working steadily since its inception in 2005. 
 

 
Dakota Dixie - "Minot's best in traditional jazz"
Led by trumpeter Pat Schwan, Dakota Dixie features Dr. Curt Kumpf on the trombone, Bob Briggs on clarinet, Arnola Leverson at the piano, Curt Tracy on tuba and John Spitzer at the drum set.

Dakota Rose Band
 The Dakota Rose Band is based in Minot. Vocalist Karen Rath also plays the keyboard. Other members of the group include: vocalist and bassist Larry Nelson, Guitarist Willie Rose and lead guitarist, Floyd Borud.  
 
 
JMB Band 

The JMB Band features Jerry Schlag on accordion, Myron Dammen on guitar and Bud Witty on bass. Each member has been inducted into the Dakota Music Association Hall of Fame in Aberdeen, SD. They perform old-time, country western and dance standards.

Gene Putnam - Guitarist

 Gene Putnam is a fingerstyle guitarist from Minot, ND. He plays a mix of easy listening, country, gospel and popular standards. Chet Atkins has been most influential in shaping his guitar playing style. Gene’s appearances include the Norsk Hostfest, Frozen Fingers Festival, and the Arts in the Parks and Arts in the Schools Programs sponsored by MACA. Record Label: Sunflower Studios

Manuel Delgado - Guitarist
Manuel Delgado was born in Mexico and studied Music and theory at the Institute of Music in Mexico City. He has entertained across the United States for 20 years. Steve Veikley - Bugler
Former US Army Bandsman, Steve Veikley is available for honor guard duty at funerals and other events. Steve appears in  regulation uniform and calls are sounded with regulation bugle.

 
 
VOCALS
Sisters by Choice
Terri Aldrich, Jan Veikley and Pam Hopkins are “Sisters by Choice”. Dressed in period uniforms the “Sisters” recreate a USO style show featuring custom choreography and original arrangements of swing era music by Steve Veikley’s eight piece “Gentle Winds Orchestra”.
